First appearing on television commercials, then small roles in Australian television productions including Medivac, Fire and Paradise Beach alongside Aust/American co-productions, including Time Trax, Official Denial, Heart of Fire and Gargantua. The American roles required Australian actors to use a variety of American accents. Due to his upbringing in North America, the accents came naturally. This led to him working both in front and behind the camera, first as an American Auditions Reader for Maura Fay & Associates Casting, then as a Dialect Coach for actors in training. During the early '90's, his acting and accent ability led to him being cast in many American television series and telemovie roles, working opposite stars including Rod Stieger, Gabrielle Anwar, Temeura Morrison, Judd Nelson, Mark Lee, Mimi Rogers and Jessica Alba and by 1995, he was cast in a support role in ‘Space above and Beyond’, a science fiction series produced by the X-Files team. Peter's great rapport with actors led to more coaching work throughout and by 1997 he was on set as American Dialect Coach for Heath Ledger’s first American television series, ‘Roar’. He continued working on American productions often both as an actor and a dialect coach, ending the 90’s on a new series of 'Flipper' as the lead children’s Dialect and Performance Coach, along with playing a regular role in the show for two full seasons. He went into the 2000's on another American series called ‘The Beastmaster’ and was responsible for coaching both the accents and performances of the lead actors Daniel Goddard and Jackson Raine, along with many guest actors for three seasons, also playing bit parts in several episodes and coaching ADR sessions. In between crew work, Peter performed acting roles in other productions including ‘Crocodile Dundee in L.A.', the television series ‘Mortified’, and the American action feature, ‘The Condemned’. By 2007 he had been working on feature film sets coaching Nic Cage in ‘Ghost Rider’, Rachel Ward in ‘Monarch Cove’, Gerard Butler in ‘Nim’s Island’, Rose Byrne and Ben Mendelsohn on the Nic Cage feature, ‘Knowing' and both Megan Gale and Theresa Palmer for George Miller’s ‘Justice League’. In 2009 he coached performances and British accents, along with playing several bit parts on ‘K9’, a science fiction series, followed by three months on set in Melbourne working with Guillermo Del Toro, Katie Holmes, Guy Pearce and Bailee Madison on the American feature ‘Don’t be Afraid of the Dark.’ 2010 saw him performing roles in the ABC war drama ‘Sisters of War’, the feature ‘Undertow’ and the SBS crime series 'The Straits', along with coaching a Scottish dialect for Josh Hartnett on the feature ‘Singularity’.
